Your showreel is as individual as you are, which is why we offer a service tailored to your individual needs. This involves an initial free consultation to discuss your requirements and any other concerns you have.

This service is offered through AB Productions and David Harper Talent based in the historic market town of Barnard Castle, County Durham.

Showreel Packages

We offer the following packages. Option 1 and 2 are aimed at individuals that require a showreel filmed and edited from scratch. Option 3 is for individuals who already have footage which they need editing onto DVD for distribution.

Option 1: Individual £1500

You will receive individual one-to-one training and advise as we walk you through the production of your showreel. This includes everything you need to complete a professional showreel and consists of:

• 1 FULL DAY WITH THE TEAM WHO WILL WALK YOU THROUGH PRODUCING YOUR SHOWREEL
• TRAINING & ADVISE BOTH BEFORE AND DURING PRODUCTION
• ON-LOCATION FILMING
• FULLY EDITED PROFESSIONAL SHOWREEL
• DVD COPIES OF YOUR SHOWREEL
• ONE-YEAR SIGNING WITH DAVID HARPER TALENT

Individuals are encouraged to be involved in the writing and research of their showreel material prior to attending the session. This will be credited on your showreel. If no material is prepared then standard scripts will be provided.

Filming is arranged in and around Barnard Castle, a historic market town in the heart of Teesdale. Location filming allows clients to experience presenting 'live' to camera in a realistic situation against impressive local landmarks such as The Bowes Museum and Raby Castle. Studio space can be made available at additional cost - this can be discussed during consultation.

Option 2: Group £500 each

Sessions are arranged in groups of 8-12 people and the day will include everything you need to complete a professional showreel and consists of:

• 1 FULL DAY WITHIN A GROUP ENVIRONMENT PRODUCING YOUR SHOWREEL
• TRAINING & ADVISE SESSION WITH AN EXERIENCED PRESENTER
• ON-LOCATION FILMING
• FULLY EDITED PROFESSIONAL SHOWREEL
• DVD COPIES OF YOUR SHOWREEL
• ONE-YEAR SIGNING WITH DAVID HARPER TALENT

Individuals are encouraged to be involved in the writing and research of their showreel material prior to attending the session. This will be credited on your showreel. If no material is prepared then standard scripts will be provided.

Within group sessions individuals will be encouraged to participate in the filming process to get a feel for being in front and behind the camera. Group sessions also aim to emulate presenting to camera while being surrounded by a production crew.

As with Option 1, filming is arranged in and around Barnard Castle against impressive local landmarks such as The Bowes Museum and Raby Castle. Studio space can be made available at additional cost - this can be discussed during consultation.

Option 3: Showreel edit from £250

For individuals who have had experience of television work and require editing of their footage onto DVD. This option consists of:

• EDITING OF EXISTING FOOTAGE INTO SHORT PUNCHY SHOWREEL
• DVD COPIES OF YOUR SHOWREEL
• OPTION TO SIGN AND BE REPRESENTED BY DAVID HARPER TALENT

Your showreel should ideally be no more than 5 minutes in length and include excerpts of your best work and your agents contact details.

Footage can be supplied on various formats including DVD, VHS video or Mini-DV. Analogue footage is digitally encoded before use.

Your showreel is stored on our secure servers for up to 3 years to enable future updates. You hold complete control over the use of your material and can request removal from our servers at any time.

Copyright of all commercial material submitted is respected. Use of such material is for personal use only. We assume that you, or your agent, have requested and been granted permission for use.

Equipment Used

Showreels are filmed on lightweight Sony HCR-HD1E High-Definition (HDV 1080i) medium-sized cameras which allow maximum portability and produce broadcast-quality images.

Accomodation

Local accomodation ranges from luxurious Headlam Hall and Walworth Castle to Cottages or local B&B's. Arrangements and payment for overnight accomodation must be made direct to the vendor. Please contact if you require assistance with accomodation.

A £100 deposit is required on all bookings. This will be fully refunded on options 1 and 2 if you wish to cancel and provide at least 1 MONTHS notice. Where less than 1 MONTHS notice is given then the deposit is non-refundable. Note: Deposit is non-refundable on Option 3: Showreel Edit.
